Wood deck with pergola and privacy screen

Lansing & Mid-Michigan

Deck & Fence Painting and Staining

Exterior wood needs an honest surface assessment before another coat goes on.

What the service includes

Moisture and old coatings decide what comes next.

Bare, weathered and previously coated wood are not the same job. Cleaning, failing-finish removal, dry time and product selection are based on the actual condition of the deck, fence or privacy screen.

Condition

We inspect wood condition, moisture risk and the existing coating.

Preparation

Cleaning and failing-finish removal are matched to what the surface can support.

Coating

Paint, solid stain or penetrating stain is selected around the wood and maintenance goals.

Important note

The deck visible at the DeWitt exterior house was pre-existing and was not painted by Exit Strategies.

Genuine before & after

Failing coating to fresh finish.

The same deck project, documented start to finish: weathered boards with a failing coating, then a fresh solid finish on the stairs and railings.
