How much does drywall repair cost?
It depends on the size of the damage, whether it is a wall or a ceiling, texture matching, and whether paint is included. A small patch and a full section replacement are different jobs with different labor. Send photos or request a free estimate and you get a firm number before work starts.
Can you match the existing wall texture?
Yes. Orange peel, knockdown, and smooth finishes are matched before paint so the repair blends with the surrounding wall. Texture matching is a separate skill from patching, and it is part of every repair we do.
Will the patch be visible after it is painted?
Our goal is for the repair to blend into the surrounding surface. Patches are feathered, sanded, primed, and painted to match, and we check the work in raking light, the angle that exposes flaws, before calling it done. When age, sheen, texture, or lighting would make a spot repair noticeable, we recommend repainting the full wall.
Do you paint after the repair, or just patch it?
We do both. Repairs are primed and painted to match, and when sheen or color matching is tricky across an old wall, we recommend repainting the full wall so there is no flashing or picture-framing. That call is made during the estimate. See interior painting for whole-room repaints.
How long does drywall repair take?
Small patches are often completed the same day. Larger repairs need multiple coats of compound with drying time between them, which usually means two or three visits. Your estimate includes the real schedule, including dry times that cannot be rushed.
Can you fix water-damaged drywall?
Yes, once the leak itself is fixed. Damaged sections are cut out and replaced, then sealed with stain-blocking primer before paint. We do not paint over active moisture problems or mold, because that guarantees a callback.
Do you repair ceilings?
Yes. Cracks, failing tape seams, and water stains on ceilings are common repairs. Ceiling work takes longer than walls because of the working angle and extended dry times, and the estimate reflects that honestly.
